I have had many jobs and careers. I have a degree in Architecture and a Master of Art.
I am interested in people, architecture, design, art and movies. I worked in the film industry for a long time as a writer and director. Currently I work in a couple of universities as a sessional lecturer in courses about film and design.
I'm getting interested in, and quite concerned about, the state of our workplaces or 'coalfaces'. Action is urgently needed to help us get back to enjoying our work and doing something worthwhile and sensible, towards a common good. We have to rid it of the absurd demands, rules, unnecessary blockages that is currently posing as 'management'. Perhaps we need to train our management to do their job as well as we do ours.
